Résumé

The paper deals with synthetic lubricants that can offer many advantages when used with alternative refrigerants. Most of the direct advantages relate to the ability to change the chemistry of the lubricant to obtain an optimum lubricant solubility. This optimization has a direct and important impact on key performance criteria such as efficiency and reliability.
