Résumé

The article presents different predictions for the use of superconductivity in world industry. Europe's participation in these activities is estimated to be 50%. The areas of development are defined, as well as certain axes of research. It is calculated that there are 20 years between a technological discovery and its industrial application. In the present, low temperature superconductors are susceptible of being used. Future developments are expected for the use of high temperature superconductors.
