Résumé

In this paper the results of a study concerning the effectiveness of natural ventilation in assuring comfort levels of indoor air quality are reported. Using a computer code the air exchanges supplied by natural ventilation for typical office rooms in a near-urban context have been calculated. The values found have been compared with the limit values fixed by current regulations. This way it was possible to determine the conditions under which natural ventilation can be properly employed in place of the mechanical one. Results are presented using original polar graphs representing the "ventilability chart" of a room.
