Selon une enquête du VDKF, il y a eu depuis 2012 une amélioration significative du confinement des frigorigènes dans les installations de froid et de conditionnement d'air.
The results were evaluated using the Leakage and Energy Control (LEC) system software developed by VDKF and based on 86,000 operating systems involving 1,600 tons of refrigerants. The most impressive improvement was in the retail sector where emission rate fell from 6.1% in 2012 to 3.7% in 2014.
Split air conditioners and variable refrigerant flow systems registered the lowest rates of all at 1% and less. Total consumption of HFCs in Germany in 2014 was about 9,300 tons, of which 79% in refrigeration applications.
