Remplacement des HFC en Europe : le secteur de la distribution est optimiste

Un sondage étudie la manière dont le secteur européen de la grande distribution aborde la transition vers des fluides avec un potentiel de réchauffement climatique réduit.

Between August 15 and August 31 2017, the polling company ComRes - mandated by Emerson - asked 140 professionals in the retail sector in France (40), Germany (50) and the United Kingdom (50) to comment on their preparedness for and awareness of more sustainable technologies, and the primary challenges associated with the shift away from HFCs.

The survey showed that 56% of the 140 food retail professionals questioned have started making the shift away from HFCs. 40% of respondents are not aware of upcoming regulatory changes related to the phase-down of HFC refrigerants.

For the 56% of retailers who have started to shift away from HFCs, notable priorities for selecting replacement refrigeration systems included safety (57%), energy efficiency (53%) and environmental sustainability (48%).

Among the three primary alternative options available, carbon dioxide (CO2) technology was most commonly ranked as the preferred choice for replacing HFC systems at 38 percent, followed by hydrocarbons such as propane and hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs).
