Résumé

To cool down a cryogenic pump system effectively from room temperature to cryogenic temperature, a pressurized natural circulating system with gas-phase inlet is suggested and tested. Experimental data show that a higher-pressure gradient in the reflux pipe can be easily formed on pressurizing condition and the geysering phenomenon observed in the natural circulation at the atmospheric pressure could also be lightened. Thus, the pressurization condition may be benefit to keep the pump and its pipe under a subcooling state. In addition, an injection with large mass flow rate on the pressurizing condition is more effective for an insulated reflux pipe than that of an uninsulated one.
