Résumé

We focused on a desiccant rotor heated directly by concentrated solar irradiation. The rotor heated intensively near the entrance region of the channel wall. The local heat transfer coefficients as well as the heat flux decreased along the channel. In this study, we evaluated the influence of a distribution of the local heat transfer coefficient in the channel on the desorption rate by numerical simulations. The desorption rate was over estimated at a condition assuming the averaged uniform heat transfer coefficient above the air flow velocity of 1 m/s. This was due to the over estimation of the rotor temperature at desorption process, then the local amount of adsorbed water became small. Finally, we presented a method to give reasonable heat transfer coefficient.
