Résumé

If the Phase Change Materials (PCM) is used for heat storage application, the heat storage capacity of energy per volume will be increased causing its size to be miniaturized. Because when the phase change occurs, the latent heat of PCM is produced. However, when the phase change occurs, crys-tallization may occur on the surface of the pipe, which deteriorates the heat transfer performance. The purpose of this study is to enhance heat transfer performance by adding Multi-walled Carbon Nanotube (MWCNT) to the PCM. In this experiment, Stearic Acid Tech (SAT) is used as PCM, and its melting point is 58-60°C. SAT is a chemically stable substance, economically efficient and convenient for common uses. PCM has a crystallization problem during the phase change in a latent heat storage system. Therefore it is required to complement. The effect of the concentration of MWCNT on the heat storage performance will be analyzed. For a thermal storage system, the ap-plication possibility of PCM with MWCNT is evaluated based on the heat transfer rate, endother-mic and exothermic energy measurements.
