Améliorations de l'efficacité énergétique : potentiels des compresseurs à piston.

Energy efficiency improvements: potentials at reciprocating compressors.

Numéro : pap. n. 39

Auteurs : PFEIL V., BONELIS E.

Résumé

Refrigeration and A/C systems consume approx. 14% of Germany’s total power consumption and 70% to 90% of this amount is consumed by compressors. Improvement of the energy efficiency, seasonal energy efficiency, and reduction in emissions of greenhouse gases are the driving forces for further and new developments on compressors. Although the compressors of the current generation are already very advanced, there is still potential for improvements. BITZER has taken up the challenge to develop a new series of reciprocating compressors. Optimizations of the key parts resulted in an average COP improvement of 6% to 12% compared to previous models. Intelligent capacity regulation combined with intelligent system controls and the use of refrigerants with low GWP lead to the highest seasonal energy efficiencies and to significant reductions in CO2 emissions.
