Résumé

A twin screw compressor sample for allowable pressures of up to 120 bars has been tested by GEA Grasso. The potential applications are: the high pressure stage within two-stage CO2 refrigeration installations, the transcritical CO2 single stage refrigeration and heat pumps. The paper presents some operational characteristics of the tested compressor sample. The promising applications are discussed and their energetic efficiency is analysed.
