Amortissement de l'écoulement dans des tuyères et mécanisme de chute de pression dans les détendeurs électroniques.

Choking flow in nozzles and pressure drop mechanism in electronic expansion valves.

Auteurs : LIU J., CHEN J.

Résumé

The choking flow phenomenon in nozzles with initially sub-cooled liquid is analyzed in this paper. The oblique evaporation wave theory and the normal shock wave theory are employed in the analysis. Compared electronic expansion valves (EEV) to nozzles, the pressure drop mechanism in EEVs is investigated. The results show that the critical mass flow rate of EEVs for pure refrigerants can be predicted by Abuaf's model, which was developed with water. The relative deviation between the predictions and Zhang's tested data is in the range from -5 to 6%. The back pressure at the EEV exit when choking just occurs is decreased as the flow area (opening pulse number) is decreased. The trend is consistent with Zhang's test result.
