Résumé
The paper describes the results of analysis among measurements and numerical analysis of a low exergy building which is using the UseSUN technology. The main aim of the UseSUN technology is to prevent the transmission heat losses with the thermal barrier (active layer) between wall layers. This technology is based on the lowest possible temperature and therefore the highest exergy efficiency for heating that still provides adequate living conditions. Meanwhile, the conventional heating systems with inside radiators have operation temperature of +50°C or more. The UseSUN technology uses solar energy for heating and cold soil for cooling of the building. The main elements of the technology are solar energy converter, heat storage, the thermal barrier or active layer and a very high efficiency heat exchanger. This concept of low temperature heating and high temperature cooling - low exergy principles - with thermally activated façade also prevents high fluctuation of the indoor temperature during the day and the night. Application of this concept in existing buildings in Slovenia has a potential to reduce fossil fuel consumption for heating by up to 10 times. Use of renewable energy sources and heat recovery are one of the main measures of energy efficiency in heating and cooling of buildings.
