Analyse de la performance de meubles frigorifiques de vente utilisant le R-404A et le R-22 comme frigorigène.

Performance analysis of refrigerated display cabinets with R-404A and R-22 refrigerants.

Résumé

Refrigerant R-404A is being employed in modern supermarkets as a replacement of R-22 because of its zero global warming potential. A modern supermarket contains a large number of display cabinets to store and display chilled and frozen food products. These display cabinets are invariably located remotely and served by central multi-compressor refrigeration systems. This paper simulates and compares the performance of R-22 and R-404A refrigerants in medium temperature refrigerated display cabinets for supermarket applications. The model of display cabinet is based on three sub-models, the air-cooling finned-tube evaporator, the air curtain and the display cabinet body. The evaporator coil is modelled using the distributed method which allows the investigation of alternative geometries. The air curtain is modelled using correlations developed from detailed finite difference models. Results indicate that a cabinet operating with R-404A for the same operating conditions will have higher cooling load and higher refrigerant flow rate than as cabinet with R-22. The model can be used to evaluate other refrigerants and optimize the performance of the evaporator coil. The model will also be used in an integrated supermarket refrigeration and environmental control system mode.
