Résumé
This work aimed to identify and study the effective and environmentally friendly working fluids and their mixtures for an application in the ejector refrigeration system (ERS).The power and cooling cycles, simultaneously implemented in ERS, claim different requirements to the thermodynamic properties of the working fluids, which are sometimes contradictory. Such duality of the requirements defines the fundamental feasibility of application of two different media in these cycles. However, in the combined ERS cycle, the interaction of the fluid components significantly complicates the selection of the proper fluids. An extensive analysis of various binary fluids was performed. In order to define the optimum fluids having the desired complex of properties for the ERS, anew methodology of fluid selection was proposed. For the fluids’ properties calculations, it was developed suitable software that counts all the required criteria. The comprehensive analysis of the ERS was performed for the selected fluids. It was noticed that application of the proper pair of fluids might lead to the increase the system’s COP many fold. Natural refrigerants with low GWP and ODP values were given due consideration. The preferred fluids and its mixtures were specified as a result of the study and were included to the database for the future projects. The performance of the binary fluid ejector was calculated using the new methodology. Binary interaction parameters for the selected mixtures were obtained using neural networks approach. All thermodynamic parameters were calculated by Peng-Robinson equation of state. The azeotropic criteria were derived using Global phase diagram technique.
