Résumé
Ground-coupled heat pump systems offer an attractive option for heating and cooling residential and commercial buildings owing to their higher energy efficiency compared with conventional systems. A primary advantage the direct expansion ground-coupled heat pump (DX-GCHP) systems has over secondary loop ground-coupled heat pump (SL-GCHP) systems is its inherently higher efficiency due to elimination of both the secondary fluid heat exchanger and a circulation pump. In this study, we have aspired to present the evolution of exergy efficiency factor, COP and exergy losses of the DX-GCHP system in heating mode. All the theory presented is in accordance with all the currently available literature the topic of exergy. It was found that the saturation temperatures of the condenser and the evaporator had strong effects on exergy efficiency factor, COP and exergy losses. The procedures given in this paper for the exergy analysis of vapour compression refrigeration plant could be applied to the whole DX-GCHP system for optimization.
