Résumé

The entropic and statistical method of analysis (ESMA) allows for losses in different refrigeration plant components to be calculated and compared to determine the elements that need measures to increase their operation efficiency. This paper presents refrigeration cycle analysis taking into account refrigerant pressure drop in condenser with different refrigerants. The ESMA was applied to investigate one stage refrigeration cycle with the following refrigerants: R134a, R410A, R507A, R717. The calculation method was described, and the thermodynamic efficiency was calculated. Graphs of additional compression work dependency, thermodynamic efficiency and COP from pressure drops in condenser were given. This result could not be achieved using a traditional method of comparing refrigeration systems by using a coefficient of performance (COP) as the only efficiency criterion.
