Résumé

As a result of air pollution regulations on ships, the shipping industry, including the international maritime organization, is focusing on reducing CO₂ emissions and achieving carbon neutrality. Practical technical measures are required to meet these challenges. In this research, a technical analysis and life cycle cost analysis of CO₂ capture, liquefaction, transportation, and storage technologies for ship emissions were conducted. CO₂ capture technologies, including Amine and direct air capture, were assessed, with a focus on the amine process for onboard capture. Large-scale CO₂ liquefaction and storage technologies were analyzed. Economic feasibility was evaluated based on ship engine emissions (7.6 tons/hr CO₂), calculating capital expenditures and operating expenditures for major equipment. Liquefaction and storage costs were derived, and a full-cycle life cycle cost analysis was performed. The study concludes that the system is economically viable and can be commercialized.
