Résumé

The paper presents the concept and investigative results of a device in which the cooling source is a thermoelectric system. The main element of this system is a four-stage cascade consisting of Peltier modules. The experimental investigations were done under simulated performance conditions. The thermoelectric cooling source may be used in cryosurgical applications, especially for small surface cutaneous lesions.
