Résumé

A finless, zigzag-shaped-tube heat transfer design is sculpted and inspected to enhance the air conditioner's heat transfer performance. The heat transfer amount per unit area and pressure drop are investigated by three-dimensional numerical simulation, and eventually, it was compared with the parallel tubes heat exchanger. It's designed by putting zigzag-shaped-tube side-by-side in various distances for inspection. The air-side heat transfer per unit area and frictional characteristics were checked in different air velocities. Rather than using a conventional fin and tube heat transfer design, a zigzag heat exchanger is introduced. The zigzag shape effect also helped to enhance the heat transfer amount by creating a swirling effect. To inspect the air-side heat transfer amount, various tube zigzag angle was investigated here. Eventually, the zigzag-shaped tube heat exchanger shows better heat transfer and frictional performance over the Parallel tube heat exchanger.
