Résumé

The paper describes the scenario which let to a unique two temperature thermal storage system at Fullerton State University. The chilled water storage tank provides about 36,000 ton per hour of chilled water. The heating storage provides 66 deg C heating water for campus heating. The solution, a low temperature chilled water storage, medium temperature heating water storage and heat pump, is particularly interesting because of the relatively high electrical rates in Southern California.
