Résumé

This article presents the refrigerants currently used in Japan in various refrigeration domains and the corresponding possible alternative refrigerants taking into account their thermophysical properties and cycle performances in order to meet the requirements of the Japanese regulations. It also describes the difficulties to select refrigerants with both low GWP and high safety and presents proposals.
