Résumé

In July 1997, the Swedish national Energy Administration (STEM), in collaboration with partners from the Swedish refrigeration and heat pump industry and from universities, launched a national research programme called "Climate 21" and subtitled "Efficient refrigerating machines and heat pumps". The programme budget was estimated at USD 7 million, 40% of which was financed be STEM and 60% by its partners. The programme ran until March 2001. The framework for a three-year second stage of "Climate 21" has been prepared and presented to STEM.
