Résumé

The Thermal Engineering and the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Laboratories at SINTEF Energy Research provide modern test rigs and a range of analytical instruments for the design, modelling and verification of many types of processes and equipment used in the energy sector and in energy-intensive industries. Test facilities include a de-watering laboratory for the study of drying technologies, rigs for the study of combustion of gases and solids, and the use of CO2 as a refrigerant in air-conditioning units for cars and as working fluid in heat pumps. Analytical facilities include FT-IR microscopy, laser doppler velocimetry and nanosecond-pulsed lasers for the study of chemical reactions in flames and various calorimeters.
