Comment obtenir le maximum d'information d'un modèle sémi-empirique utilisant un minimum de données.

How to get the most out from a reciprocating compressor: semi-empirical model using a minimum set of data.

Résumé

A semi-empirical modelling approach to the compression process of reciprocating compressors is presented. The model is based on the mass and energy conservation principles applied to a lumped control volume located in the compression chamber. The predictions of the first-principles model were calibrated using experimental data to account for the phenomena not considered, such as mass leakage, valve dynamics, in cylinder heat transfer, and mechanical and electrical losses. The methodology was applied to a small-capacity (about 250 W) compressor designed for household refrigerator applications running with HFC-134a. In this case, the resulting correlation between the experimental data and theoretical predictions showed a linear behaviour, requiring only two experimental data points to be fitted. The model predictions and experimental results for mass flow rate and compression power compared quite well, showing differences within plus or minus 10% error bands.
