Comparaison expérimentale de deux méthodes d'enclenchement du dégivrage des pompes à chaleur air/eau réversibles : temporisation et écart des températures d'air et d'évaporateur.

Experimental comparison of two methods for triggering the defrosting of reversible air/water pumps: time delay and air and evaporator temperature difference.

Résumé

Frosting is a phenomenon which is often encountered in heat pumps. The purpose of this investigation is to compare two methods for starting defrosting, to ensure that the machine's performance is disturbed as little as possible by the frosting and defrosting effects. The first method involves starting defrosting after a time delay between defrosting cycles. The second method consists in starting defrosting when the frosting degrades the heat exchange comparing the temperature difference between the air and the exchanger. Energy savings of about 10% are observed when the air is dry, but with the second method, savings in the electrical power consumption can be as high as 20%.
