Topics include: application and design experience with smoking area in the hospitality industry and commercial buildings; ASHRAE's new weather data for energy calculations; alternative refrigerant heat transfer in heat exchangers; district heating and cooling and cogeneration systems; feedforward-feedback controls for laboratories; new motor technologies and their applications; commercial ground-source heat pump systems; light commercial forced-air distribution systems; moisture removal issues with unitary equipment; annual energy rating of fenestration; room air conditioners; calculations for measurement and verification of energy and demand savings; new developments of commercial kitchen ventilation; research update on laboratory HVAC design; thermal and fluid characteristics in HVAC and refrigeration processes; attic and cathedral ceiling performance; refrigerator-freezer technologies; material emission rates; technological advances in radiant heating and cooling; air leakage and thermal and moisture performance of buildings.
