Résumé

These two volumes (part 1A et 1B) include the complete collection of all technical and symposium papers (187) presented at the 1998 Winter Meeting, on January 18-21, in San Francisco, CA, USA. Topics include: development of district heating and cooling plants, design, operation and maintenance of ground-coupled heat pump systems; field studies of thermal comfort; absorption/sorption heat pumps and refrigeration systems; health and productivity benefits of indoor air quality; review of displacement ventilation; resolving fan/motor vibration problems in air-conditioning units; new water heating data and fundamentals of air jet behaviour for HVAC applications. Some of the papers will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
