Résumé

The objectives of the paper were to analyse simultaneous heat and mass transfer in the bubble absorber using binary nanofluids and/or surfactants, to design the compact ammonia/water bubble absorber, and to investigate the effects of binary nanofluids and surfactants on the size of the bubble absorber. The effects are considered by applying the experimental correlations for the effective absorption ratio from previous experimental studies. The kinds and concentrations of nano-particles and surfactants are considered as the key parameters. Results show that the addition of surfactants can reduce the size of absorber up to 74.4%, while the application of binary nanofluids does that up to 63.6%. Combination of binary nanofluids with surfactants can reduce the size of absorber up to 77.4%. Therefore, in the viewpoint of the absorber size, it can be concluded that the combination of binary nanofluids with surfactants is the most suitable one among the considered techniques.
