Résumé

In this report some general design criteria, derived from the experience of safety analysis on NPP and adapted to the minor potential risk of other industrial plants, realistic technical approaches, suggested by experience of post earthquake investigations and professional judgement, are also described that such early interventions can produce important improvements on the seismic safety. The described criteria and technique approaches have been tested in the seismic review of an old hospital in the Emilia-Romagna region and verified during the investigations after the Fruili (1976), Irpiniza (1980) et Umbria-Marche (1997) earthquakes.
