Résumé

In this study, the cryopreservation of human embryonic stem cells over extended periods was investigated. The authors developed and optimized a protocol for cryopreservation of such cells through programmed cooling, and found that the seeding temperature, the cooling rate and the temperature samples were subjected to before being plunged in liquid nitrogen an affected subsequent recovery. The enhanced protocol developed involves: cooling of the sample from 0 to -35°C at a cooling rate of 0.5°C/min and seeding at -10°C.
