Dégradation photocatalytique d'acétaldéhyde à faible concentration.

Photocatalytic degradation of low concentration acetaldehyde.

Résumé

With a self-designed batch type photocatalytic reactor, the photocatalytic degradation behaviour of acetaldehyde and the role of adsorption on the surface of catalysts during the degradation were investigated using gas chromatography. The experimental results show that the photo-catalytic degradation of low concentration acetaldehyde can be described by the first-order reaction equation. UV intensity does not always enhance the degradation of acetaldehyde. There are transition locations of irradiation intensity for the degradation of low concentration acetaldehyde, which are 4.5 and 6.4 W/m2 in the experimental conditions. The reaction constant k increases with UV intensity increasing in low UV irradiation intensity zone (less than 4.5 W/m2) while it remains unchanging if the irradiation intensity is high enough (greater than 6.4 W/m2). The photo-catalytic degradation of acetaldehyde on TiO2 coated on ACF can be enhanced by the adsorption of ACF no matter what doping method is used, physical or sol-gel method.
