Résumé

The paper demonstrates the practicality of conducting accurate and effective thermal performance tests in the field on evaporative vapour condensers installed at operating commercial facilities. By testing an installed evaporative vapour condenser and comparing the results to those of a closely controlled laboratory test of the same model, it was established that field testing can yield results commensurate with laboratory testing. Therefore, field testing can provide a practical and viable alternative to testing evaporative condensers in a laboratory.
