Détection et diagnostic automatisés d'anomalies des systèmes de ventilation utilisant de l'air extérieur et des économiseurs : méthodologie et résultats obtenus sur le terrain.

Automated fault detection and diagnostics for outdoor-air ventilation systems and economizers: methodology and results from field testing.

Résumé

The paper describes a prototype diagnostic system that automatically detects and diagnoses problems with outdoor-air ventilation and economizer operation in commercial buildings using data available from building automation systems. The system also provides context-sensitive suggestions for correcting the problems detected. The diagnostics are based on rules derived from engineering models of proper and improper air-handler performance. This system is currently installed in seven air-handling units in two buildings. Four out of them were found to have problems shortly after installation of the diagnostic system. The diagnostic methodology, its implementation in software, the field installation, and test results are described in the paper.
