Résumé
Ionic liquids are promising absorbents for absorption heat pumps thanks to their suitable properties, such as a low vapor pressure or the high and specific solubility for the refrigerants. Although, they also present some drawbacks as high viscosity and low mass diffusivity. For this reason, it is interesting to study experimentally the absorption process with these new absorbents. The absorption performance, in terms of refrigerant absorption rate, requires knowing the composition of the refrigerant/absorbent mixture, which usually is determined from the density measurement. However, in some cases, the change of the density with the composition is not enough to be detected by the densimeter. In this study, we have implemented the nearinfrared spectroscopic technique to determine in-situ the composition of a water + 1-ethyl-3- methylimidazolium acetate mixture, in a test-bench to study the absorption process in a falling-film absorber. The preliminary results show that this technique is suitable to determine the composition of a mixture in-situ in a test-bench, with similar results obtained from density measurement.
