Résumé

Recently, from the viewpoint of global warming, natural gas CO2 is attracting more and more attention in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry. CO2 is a refrigerant for which the operating pressure and density are very high. Therefore, it is difficult to maintain efficiency and reliability. The authors already commercialized CO2 heat pump water heater supply units, and began using a swing compressor in order to solve these problems. They have achieved an improvement in efficiency of 106% compared with the commercialized swing compressor. This paper explains the development of the high efficiency and low noise swing compressor by using a new concentrated winding motor and a minimizing the re-expansion capacity and by a new motor stator fixation method.
