Développement d'un matériau pour l'accumulation thermique de la chaleur latente fondé sur un mélange urée/eau.

Development of fluid latent heat storage material using urea-water mixture.

Résumé

A new secondary refrigerant was investigated using an urea-water mixture. As the urea-water mixture is a binary solution, it can have a solid-liquid phase. But there are so few data at present for describing the behaviour of the urea-water mixture. Therefore, the authors investigated the phase diagram of the urea-water mixture. They also observed the crystal growth of urea-water mixture. A differential scanning calorimeter was used to investigate the latent heat of urea-water mixture. The mixture had sufficient fluidity for use as a new fluid latent heat storage material. Based on the phase diagram, the experiments were conducted under stirred conditions, and the fluid latent heat storage material was investigated under various concentrations of urea-water mixture.
