Résumé

Continuous heating technology has been developed which maintains room warmth using warm air produced during defrosting. A refrigerant circuit to perform continuous heating was proposed in the past. The outdoor heat exchanger is divided into two parts: one part used for heating and the other supplied with gas refrigerant used for defrosting. However, usage of the sensible heat of gas necessitates a large amount of refrigerant for defrosting, resulting in a shortage of refrigerant for indoor heating. Therefore, a new defrosting system has been developed which utilizes the latent heat of condensation via expansion valves installed to control refrigerant pressure. Heating capacity improved to the same level as normal heating when the outdoor air temperature was 2 °C thanks to an increased flow rate supplied to the indoor units due to the flow rate for defrosting being reduced to one-sixth of that provided by the conventional method.
