Développement de systèmes ouverts à cycle à air inversé pour les applications terrestres de conditionnement d'air.

Developments of reverse open air-cycle systems for air-conditioning terrestrial applications.

Résumé

A theoretical analysis of the cooling effectiveness of an innovative air-conditioning equipment based on the reverse Joule-Brayton cycle, where expanded cool air is supplied to the indoor ambient for its environmental control, is conducted. The energetic behaviour of the proposed system, essentially consisting of an air-cycle refrigeration machine equipped with counterflow, air-to-air, wet-surface type, plate heat exchangers and adiabatic-dehumidification air washers, is evaluated through a specifically developed numerical simulation model. Comparisons with the energetic performance of more conventional air-cycle-based air-conditioning systems are also reported and discussed.
