Compact heat exchangers applied to industrial and environmental processes.

Résumé
The paper presents some recent applications of compact heat exchangers, and deals with single and two-phase applications. Specific applications with combined heat and mass transfer, such as fractional units or exothermic reactors, are also presented. Special emphasis is given to the latest knowledge of heat and mass transfer and flow field analysis in compact equipment. Finally, state-of-the-art design methods and requirements for future research are presented.
