Résumé

The paper compares the performance of mini-channel aluminium heat exchangers and brazed plate heat exchangers working as an evaporator and a condenser in a small-capacity heat pump. It also presents the design and fabrication procedure of two mini-channel aluminium heat exchangers (evaporator and condenser), correlations from the literature used for the evaporator pressure drop calculations and overall heat transfer coefficient calculations for both the evaporator and the condenser. Also, a comparison of experimental results of brazed plate heat exchangers and mini-channel heat exchangers is presented.
