Effet des économies d'énergie d'un nouveau système passif de déshumidification d'air.

Energy saving effect of a novel passive air dehumidification unit.

Résumé

Concerns on indoor air quality have prompted the researches of novel air dehumidification techniques. This study proposed a new passive air dehumidification system, membrane-based total heat exchanger in which the fresh air is cooled and dried by the exhaust air in summer. To improve performance, a novel concept of composite supported liquid membrane combined with a cross-corrugated triangular duct structure is proposed. The sensible and latent effectiveness are calculated from heat mass transfer correlations. The total heat exchanger based on this concept has a sensible effectiveness of 0.82, and a latent effectiveness of 0.64, which are far higher than current commercial products. Besides, a total of 12.4% energy for air conditioning could be saved with this technology annually.
