Résumé

Problems of tightness in refrigeration systems with elastomer sealings can have various reasons. A serious design must start with the design of the slot for the sealing. The compatibility with the polymers must be clarified, as well as the minimum requirements must be met by the quality of production, which has to be supervised continuously. The author presents design and production problems as well as compatibility with refrigerants and oils.
