These proceedings contain 11 papers from the AIRAH National Conference, held in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia on May 2-4, 2001: effect of radiant heat exchange on thermal comfort near single glazed windows; a performance-based approach to car park ventilation design; improving the operating efficiency of air-cooled reciprocating chillers; HVAC water system balancing; air balancing; managing commissioning; a quantitative evaluation of a new method of air conditioning; the influence of high efficiency air filters on indoor air fungi numbers and composition; atmospheric treaties and replacement refrigerants for vapour compression; natural refrigerants in supermarket refrigeration; an annual power cost comparison of conventional and ice-slurry systems indicates impressive potential savings for abattoir refrigeration.
