Résumé

The authors describe an effective method of desiccant matrix performance testing and a computer program that use empirically derived performance algorithms to predict the performance of desiccant systems using the tested matrices. During testing, a stationary matrix sample is exposed to multiple and reversing flows of process and regenerating air-streams. The authors found that the main advantages of using this method, in comparison to a whole wheel or entire system testing, is an ease in manipulating optimizing parameters, size of matrix needed for testing, and low volumes of airflows required.
