Résumé

An investigation oftwo water-water transcritical CO2 heat pumps integrating a vortex tube is conducted. The benefit of the vortex tube is to provide additional heating from the flow leaving the hot exit. The first configuration includes a vortex tube followed by a desuperheater while the second includes a vortex tube followed by an internai heat exchanger. The objective of the first is to heat an extra externat water flow using the desuperheater. Meanwhile, the objective of the second is to use an internai heat exchanger to heat the flow entering the compressor. Dymola is used as the simulation platform while TIL library provides the models of the heat pump except for the vortex tube, which was previously developed by the authors. The desuperheater cycle, the internai heat exchanger cycle and the conventional cycle present a maximum coefficient of performance of 3.3, 2.29 and 2.06, respectively.
