Résumé

The paper begins with the explanation of a new ventilation and air conditioning concept for operating theatres in hospitals. It features a germ-free-air-zone in the operating room, realized using a large laminar flow distributor which covers the operating table and instrument tables. The new concept is at least as economic as concepts based on the German standard if one uses mainly recirculated air in the operating room and optimised technical solutions.
