Résumé

Potassium formate has advantage of good water vapor adsorption capacity and less corrosion to metal which can be applied as a novel composite desiccant to fabricate desiccant coated heat exchanger(DCHE). In the paper, different potassium formate-slica gel composite desiccant coated aluminum sheets were manufactured and the sorption kinetics were tested. Besides, dehumidification capacity of composite DCHE was tested and compared with silica gel one. Results indicated that enhanced dehumidification capacity can be achieved with use of composite desiccant in the DCHE system. Moreover, vital factors impacting system performance are explored and discussed.
