Résumé

A better level of technology knowledge and image of our branch can be achieved by exchange of practical information about the use and application of natural refrigerants. A number of exchanges of information on practical issues are discussed. In most of the cases, an over-commercial presentation of the suppliers did not lead to a good performance. The proposed energy savings will not be reached in all cases. This is not to the interest of the owner/end-user and neither in the long term nor supplier of the refrigeration system. A correct selection and choice of appropriate components, piping and control equipment is of great importance for a reliable operation of the refrigeration plant. Definition of energy savings with respect to a specific reference is essential. Knowledge of technology regarding refrigeration systems running on natural refrigerants and refrigerant liquids with their specific physical and thermodynamic properties is of fundamental importance. Exchange of technology knowledge and the establishment of a databank are recommended.
