Résumé

Labyrinth seal is a kind of non-contact seal method which is widely used in aviation, energy, fluid and other fields of power machinery. Reciprocating compressor can obtain many advantages by using labyrinth seal instead of piston ring seal, such as oil-free gas compression and transportation, non-lubricated maintenance, no friction loss, no hot spots and so on. It is therefore important to carry on a series of theoretic and experimental research on labyrinth reciprocating compressor. This paper deals with the investigation of the leakage characteristics of the labyrinth reciprocating compressor. A dynamic CFD model of the labyrinth reciprocating compressor is established and numerically simulated. The influences of pressure ratio, and rotating speed, relative clearance volume and relative eccentricity on the leakage quantity and relative leakage quantity are discussed in detail. In addition, an experimental rig is built to validate the correctness of the CFD model. The experimental results are in good agreement with simulation results. This study provides a basis for designing and optimizing the structure of labyrinth reciprocating compressor.
