Etude expérimentale de l'effet de la longueur de ma chambre de mélange sur la performance d'un éjecteur diphasique pour un cycle frigorifique au CO2 avec et sans échangeurs de chaleur.

Experimental investigation on the effect of mixing length on the performance of two-phase ejector for CO2 refrigeration cycle with and without heat exchangers.

Résumé

In ejector systems using the promising natural refrigerant CO2, the mixing of high speed two-phase primary flow and suction vapour is crucial in designing an efficient ejector. In this study, the effect of mixing length on ejector system performance was analyzed experimentally. The mixing lengths used were 5, 15 and 25 mm, with constant rectangular cross-section. The experiments were performed for both ejector and conventional expansion systems with and without internal heat exchanger. The gas cooler pressure (9-10.5 MPa), evaporator temperature (2-8°C), and gas cooler outlet temperature (41-44°C) were varied for each type. The results showed the significant effect of mixing length in ejector's performance. The 15 mm-type provided the highest pressure recovery, entrainment ratio and COP in all the conditions used in this research. A maximum COP improvement of up to 26% compared to similar conventional system was obtained.
